Your career is part of your life. It shouldn't feel like something you're enduring while waiting for the rest of your life to begin.
The world of work is changing fast.
AI is changing how we find jobs, how we're assessed, how work gets done and, increasingly, which jobs actually exist.
We're dealing with economic uncertainty, changing workplaces, redundancy, career stagnation and a growing sense that work is becoming more automated and more transactional.
At the same time, a lot of people are feeling disconnected - from their work, from other people, and sometimes from themselves.
Personally, I don't think the answer is another career platform telling you to optimise your CV, build your personal brand, find your passion or let an AI chatbot tell you what you should do next.
So I built something different.

A free, genuinely human community for people figuring out what's next in their working life.
A place to think, talk, question, explore, learn and work things out with other human beings.
And yes, I'm actually here.
I built the Club. I run it. I host the live sessions. I contribute to the conversations. I read what's being discussed. I answer questions. As the Club grows, I'll build more of it around what members actually need.
You're not joining a community and discovering that the person whose name is on the front door disappeared five minutes after launch.

Why Does The Reinventors Club exist?
I believe your career matters.
Not because your job title defines you or because everyone needs to be wildly passionate about their work.
It matters because work takes up a huge part of our lives.
The right work can give you confidence, purpose, challenge, financial security, interesting people, flexibility and a sense that you're doing something that suits you.
The wrong work can drain all of those things.
Sometimes the answer isn't leaving your profession.
Sometimes it's changing your role.
Sometimes it's changing the organisation.
Sometimes it's changing how you work.
Sometimes it's changing direction completely.
And sometimes you don't have a clue what the answer is yet.
That's okay.
We're not trying to find your dream job.
We're trying to help you find your place.
The place in the professional world that fits you.
Your abilities. Your ambitions. Your circumstances. Your personality. Your priorities. Your life.
Something you're good at.
Something you don't hate doing.
Something that gives you the income you need to live the life you want.
Something that leaves room for the rest of you.
All while we keep this grounded in reality.

The free Club is the home base, but sometimes you want to go deeper.
That's where the Reinventors Circles come in.
Focused spaces for particular stages and challenges, with more structure, specialist resources, deeper conversations and additional support.
The first Circle is being built for new and accidental managers.
Others will follow based on what members actually need.
You don't leave the Club to join a Circle.
You add a room.
The Reinventors Club is deliberately human.
I'm increasingly sceptical about the idea that everything needs to be automated, especially when we're talking about careers, confidence, identity, difficult decisions and people's lives.
AI has its place. I'm not pretending otherwise.
However, I don't want The Reinventors Club to become another place where you ask a bot what you should do with your career and receive a perfectly formatted answer that understands absolutely nothing about being you.
People need people.
They need conversation.
They need perspective.
They need to hear someone say, “Have you thought about it this way?”
They need somewhere to say, “This happened today and I don't know what to make of it.”
They need other people who understand what it feels like to be figuring things out.
That's what I'm building here.
You don't need to have your career figured out before you join.
